Up 3-2 at New Jersey with under :30 left?  Too good to be true.  The Devils scored with :21 left to send it to OT...

In a Courier Times article today, they were saying that Chris Drury or Daniel Briere might be signed away from Buffalo, and Kimmo Timonen might be signed away from Nashville.  They have about $23M to spend out of a $46M cap...

NY daily news is reporting the Rangers are actively trying to get Forsberg.  The rumor is Petr Prucha, Brandon Dubinsky and a 1st. Thats the opening bid for Forsberg, and its been reported that 11 teams have already shown interest.  Supposedly Forsberg is willing to be traded to a contender as long as he can come back to the flyers in the summer.

Why the hell would he want to do that?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Apparently he loves it here.  Essentially it would be a Mark Recchi type situation by trading him to a contender and then having an unwritten agreement that the player would go back to the team that traded him.

I think him and Gagne love each other (no no homo).

Detroit: Get Forsberg!

QuoteThe Wings are crazy if they don't pursue the mercurial Forsberg, who contemplates retirement every time he wakes up. The fear is that Forsberg, 33, is an NHL variation of Chris Webber -- a former superstar whose once-extraordinary skills are choking on fumes. But the Wings should take the same approach as the Pistons: Perhaps a renewed spirit could coax one last glimpse of greatness.

ouch

Colorado: Get Forsberg!

Just daydreaming from a Denver columnist, not a rumor

Vancouver: Get Forsberg!

They don't have the cap room or prospects/draft picks we want

Fedoruk punched Pitkanen in the face the other day at practice.  They're good buddies again today.

Flyers lost 2-1 vs the Rangers.  Tomorrow's game will be on NBC in the Philly and Atlanta areas...

maybe that's why Pitkanen has scored 2 goals this month...btw, his only 2 all year.

team looked "better" vs Rangers, but the score could should have been worse.
