they need to run that semi-no huddle all the time.  it gave Donovan plenty of time to scout the defense and change the play if he wanted to

agreed. id rather have Donovan calling the plays than Reid at this point.

Andy was calling the plays, but Donovan actually had more than 3 seconds to analyze the defense.

Just as long as he doesn't pull that bullshtein with the jumping under center ever again.

I'm over the loss now. I can't dwell on it any longer. It's too bad of a loss. I'm focused in on San Fran now. I only hope the team goes up there furious and sticks it the farg to them. The Niners have some targets for Alex Smith. Bryant, Davis, Johnson. I hope Hood is good to go for sunday. If not we need to get a good pass rush like we did the last 2 games.

That loss sucked.  But, they were dominating when they were playing hard.  Everyone let up, especially the coaches.  Until they let up, they were absolutely destroying the Giants.  Even letting up, if Michael Lewis can fall on a football, they still win.

Give the Giants credit, when they called off the dogs, they made plays.  But if they keep playing the same game, it's a blowout.

What it really comes down to, how do they play against the Cowboys on Oct 8th.  I mean, if they lose to SF or GB, they're cooked.  If they destroy those pseudo-teams, as they should, then play a solid game vs the Cowboys and win, alls well.

I'm not ready to accept the season's demise yet.
Anyone but Reid.

not at all.

for me, the anger and frustration comes from them giving away a division game at home when they were up by 17 points.

however, they were not outplayed, in fact they dominated the game until the 4th quarter.  that is not a fluke.  the 4th quarter was the fluke.  the offense is dynamic again.  the no huddle worked and should be used the rest of the season.

they will be fine.  they are the best team in the division and top 3 in the conference.

Exactly.  I agree.

If they play well. When they drop passes and the defense lets teams walk down the field, they're not that good.

I agree. That Bears team looks damn good though. Since our goal as Eagles fans is pretty much playoffs or bust and even Superbowl or bust for some, if we have to go into Chicago for the playoffs... whew. That is gonna be one tough game.

But that is looking WAY WAY ahead. One game at a time.

Once again, it's too early to say this team or that team is the team to beat. Like the Falcons the Bears have feasted on bottom dwellers thus far (Lions & Packers). Let's wait until about week 5 when things start to separate before worrying about who's going to be playing where come playoff time. Every year at the start of the season it's the same thing, this team or that team is the one to beat (how're those Super Bowl bound Panthers doing?) or the new "hot" team and every year when things start to settle down and the good separate from the bad those "hot" teams tend to fall back to where they should be. The Bears should win the North because the division sucks ass and 3 of the 4 teams are crap. The Vikings aren't good.

joel in providence

this was just one of those really flukey games. the giants themselves lost one just a week earlier against the colts, whom they really did outplay.

it happens. don't go putting your head in the oven just yet.
