Week 2 - Giants at Eagles GAME thread

Akers miss had nothing to do with it. They scored another TD and a Figgie AFTER that miss to go up 24-7. Yeah he missed a long one, but that had nothing to do with anything if the O and/or D did anything in the 4th quarter. They sucked that entire period and blew the game. Of all the people to blame, Akers is WAY down the list because his miss was negligible in the grand scheme of things.

Every freaking member of the Philadelphia Eagles had a hand in this choke-job.

Akers missed a field goal.
McNabb threw a few worm-burners to open WR.
Stallworth had a drop.
LJ had a drop.
Cole had the penalty.
Lewis was burned.

The list goes on and on.

I'm nauseous just thinking about it.

1 thing? Coaching. Coaching farged up a sure win once again. This game was a like a horrid replay of that opening loss to the Titans from a few years back. I said that earlier. They choked away the game in almost the exact same fashion. They called off the D and went zone and Reid went all cute with the play calling instead of going for the juggular until there wasn't enough time left of the clock for the opposing O to do anything to win. If you have a tape of that game and can stomach watching it, it'll look a lot like today's suckfest, I promise you.

Probably Mike Lewis with that stupid ass fumble. That made the Giants still down by 10, but momentum shifted and lucky plays always make the opponent feel like shtein.

Andy panicked plain and simple. Morons are calling up WIP and trashing McNabb. McNabb had nothing to do with this loss. It was on the coaches, and the stupid mistakes. McNabb did all he could with what was given to him.

Amen, brother...I'm getting pretty sick of all these idiot's who swear they know football, and luv to bash D-Mac. He is NOT the problem and never has been. Blame the coaching staff and their play calling. That dates all the way back to the 1st NFC title game too. Sure, he has thrown some pic's in big games...but they werent ALL his fault. Fault Fred Ex for breaking the wrong way, out of his route in the ram's game. Thank The play calling in the Buc's title game, and thank ALL the Garbage WR's who coughed up the ball in the Carolina game. I love how NOBODY ever mentions the beating D-mac took in 3 of those title games either. He was hammered in those games, and still stood in there and tried to do what he could, with the garbage WR's he had, and a staff who refuses to commit to the running game, unless it's predictable. When you look at this QB's body of work, it's actually pretty amazing he has done half of what he has, with what they have provided him over the years. I have ZERO complaints about this QB, and anyone who does, is a moron who needs to follow another sport.

That's a key play, but I really that Andy going for that 4th and 1 and not getting it really shifted the momentum too.

Lewis has sucked this year and a lot of last year too. Shame but he's just been in a bit of a freefall for a while and I don't get it. He used to be awesome in coverage, now he's a liability.

What's freak's status...looked out for the year.  Bright side...I hope this beligerant coaching staff learns from this. ALso...better to happen now, and get it out of their system, then to happen later in the season.   BTW....I also luv how the ref called that catch from BEHIND the play, when Dawk had more of the ball then the WR did....Effen unreal!

Words cannot describe how I feel right now.  I had a gut feeling right before the 4th quarter that we were going to lose.  This team owes us a big apology. Andy Reid owes us an apology. The media shouldn't even give them the time. They are just blowing this off. Oh its a long season, we have time...blah blah....you guys gave up, called horrible plays and gave the giants a well lubed ass to knut in. way to go guys! farg farg farg farg farg

Good thing we got depth at d-line. Not gonna down play the loss of Kearse, it's big, but Cole is very good too. Leads the team in sacks, and the NFL I think.
