My biggest concern isn't if the Eagles can/will points up. They'll score plenty. The Giants' D doesn't really scare me much, especially the with the way the offensive line has been dominating lately.

It's the defense that will win or lose this game.

The Giants O-line looked good against the one of the best DE combos in the league, but the Colts' interior D-line isn't so hot, especially without Simon. This week the Giants will have to contend with and snuff Patterson, Walker, Ramsey, Bunkley and Howard (on passing downs), while worrying about Kearse, Cole, Thomas, McDougle, and Howard off the edge. That's a tall order. I am thinking the Giants are just going to run at them hard and often in the first two quarters, and then use play action tons if the running game gets traction.  If they can put a lot of pressure on Eli to win the game by at least slowing the run, that is a big bonus. After that, Shockey won't be shutout, but he has to be kept in check. This makes me the most nervous. Against the Texans, Lewis didn't look so hot, but Dhani for the most part seemed to keep the Texans TEs minimalized. Shockey is a million times better than the Putzier (sp?), so Dhani and Lewis are going to get tested big time.

If the Eagles can keep the Giants' run game slowed down, and minimize Shockey and Plastic-ho, the Birds' offense, I feel, will have enough points on the board by that time that Eli and Co. will have to go into pass happy mode, which suits the Eagles just fine. J.J will dial up the pressure and blitzes, and the Birds will walk out with the win.

My predictions are:

Offense:
-McNabb has another big game
-C-Buck and Westy get big yardage carrying the ball, and Reid continues to pound the ball later in the game with a lead.
-Brown has the big game this time around, as Stallworth will be pulling double coverage almost the entire game. I see 6-9 catches and score for Reggie.
-L.J. continues on his way to the pro-bowl, 6-7 catches, 60 yards and a score.
-Stallworth is smothered constantly, but still chips in with 4-5 catches, and 50-60 yards.
-The line is solid, but lets up a sack or two. They push the Giants line up and down the field, and McNabb has a nice pocket for most of the day.

Defense:
-Dhani gets owned, Shockey has himself a nice day.
-The line(s) play solid, and I think we see alot more of Ramsey this week to help slow the Giants run game. 3-4 sacks and a fumble. They slow the run game just enough that the Giants can't go up and down the field, and Manning has to drop back to pass more than Coughlin is comfortable with.
-McCoy continues to impress.
-The DBs limit Plaxico and Toomer to about 10-12 catches for about 100-120 yards, and a score, between them.

They almost have to make a trade for a CB, or this could be big trouble all year long.  Again.

hanson is now the third cb...andy not worried about him at all

mentioned strickland as well

They need to get someone that can play 4th CB and also return kicks, because Perry sucks and will be the guy cut to make room for them to add a guy- assuming Lito isn't going to IR.

nothing about it being long term, but REid said its significant.

I'm not worried about Tiki so much as I am Plaxico and the redneck. If Eli has enough time to throw to them after Tiki marches them downfield, it's going to be an ugly game.

Who is a possiblity?

like i said he mentioned strickland...but it hardly sounded like that was a definite

other possibles?

i think ray mickens is out there

isnt ashley ambrose as well

i think he got scooped up by someone but if he didnt i know the giants cut curtis deloatch who isnt very good but started for them last year....getting a guy to play against the team that just cut him might not be bad move

Strickland has to be the assumed front-runner, but trading for some talent wouldn't be a bad idea. Not likely to happen, though.

It's gotta be Strickland.  He already knows JJ's defense and up until a week or so ago... he was a part of it.
