The net difference between Simoneau's and Stallworth's salary:

"At $820,000 once Simoneau was off the books, the Eagles got Stallworth at a significant discount."

So, it's more impressive that they gave up the draft pick than the money.  That said, it would be quite nice if they were able to extend Stallworth's deal to get more money on the books for the 2006 cap year.

You make it sound impossible. The guy's only 25... it's not like his best years are already behind him. He could very well be on the upswing as far as his numbers go. New team, new attitude... huge upgrade in QB. All these could help him towards that mark.

He's also more talented and physically gifted than any no T.O. WR to ever play under Andy Reid. Don't see how that could be so hard to outdo Thrash, Pinky, Na Brown, Freeman, etc. That's far from a high bar to jump over.

I'm not saying he's a lock to get 1000 yds or some shtein like that, but it's crazy to sit here and say he can't.

My point, which most of you understand I'm sure, is not that it's impossible, but that someone who claims he'll have 'at least' 950 yards is simply getting over-excited about this trade. What reasonable person would assume that ANY WR would get over 1000 yards in this offense? Stallworth isn't T.O. fellas.

Hell, I think if he gets 600-700 yards this year that is very good season consdering he has had no time in camp with this team.

Agreed. And more importantly, 600-700 yards is more than enough to help the offense because he'll still be out there spreading the field for everyone else.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

(The new intro on Donte's webpage... and it's actually an accent over the e, not an apostrophe after, Dio.)

Good to see Donté in Eagles green.  He'll be a big help to the team.  Could he be the difference in the Eagles returning to prominence this season?

reese125

I dont give a farg he gets 500 yds. Just score a decent amount of TD's and spread the ball around like the usual offense does

screw yardage---its all about TD's always has been

Beermonkey

Who will have more yardage, Brandon Lloyd or Stallworth?

PoopyfaceMcGee

You're right.  With their kick returning game, they should never have to go more than 5-10 yards to score a TD.

SunMo

as has been stated, yards are irrelevent, it's the other things he brings to the offense that make this team better before he even steps on the field.

Barring injury, there is roughly a 90% chance that Stallworth will have more yardage than Lloyd.

Thats the key.  It will free up Westbrook and LJ just by having Stallworth out there and having to be accounted for.

lotta speed out there now when Westbrook flanks out with LJ and Stallworth. But thats only if LJ can hold onto the friggin ball

Stallworth will pretty much be unstoppable now that the Eagles went out and got a QB to throw to him.

ALL HAIL A.J. FEELEY!

I saw his picture on PE.com today and I instantly thought he looks just like Flavor Flav without the clock and viking helmet.
