I haven't heard one thing mentioned about this trade on Monday Night Countdown or SC.  I don't get it at all, if it was another team like the Skins or Girls this would be a pretty big story.

ESPN is probably too busy blowing Brett or Carson.

PoopyfaceMcGee

How can you not love the way Brett plays the game, though?

PhillyPhreak54

LOOK AT HIS FEET!!

LOOK.

AT.

HIS.

FEET!

Where's that damn John Deere lawn tractor?

HIS!

Somewhere, Paul Maguire will be screaming that tonight.

That was his favorite line when he was in the booth with Joey Leg and Mr. Overexcitement Mike Patrick.

You know....ESPN still hasn't removed that goddamn scoreboard from the middle of the screen. What fargstick in Bristol came up with that idea? And can't they see how goddamn annoying that is?

Adam Schefter on NFL Network said the condition for the pick isn't whether or not he re-signs but how much playing time he gets this year.

Oh and he also said the Saints are using our pick to  try to get Donnie Edwards.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Bobby Hebert covers the Saints in NO. He's either a radio guy or a local analyst. Hebert said he likes the deal a lot for the Eagles. He just gave Stallworth's strengths and weaknesses. His weaknesses were that he is non-chalant, about rehab, practices and meetings, and sometimes lacks focus. His upsides were he is very fast, he can go over the middle or go deep, he's young, and he has YAC ability.

Didn't you just post that a few minutes ago?

Someone asked what Hebert was up to these days.

Brown
Stallworth
Baskett
Pinkston (I know, I know)
Avant
Lewis/McCants

I think McCants stays because they like him better on ST. Gaffney is gone.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

You know? that dude is going on IR or back to Mississississississisiippi unemployed, IMO.

It comes down to Mr. Softee or Darnerian. Unless they roll with 6. Either way I think Gaffney is gone too

If Schefter was right, how much playing time do you think he'd have to get for it to turn from a 4th to a 3rd?

Probably something that he'll eclipse by Week 8, IMO.

Unless...you know what? I'm not even going to say it.

McNabb switched to Rosenhaus and has demanded a new contract. Reno switched too, but nobody has heard anything about a holdout from him.

Hey, why wasn't this front page news on CF?

BTW, Donte compared to the others we coveted this offseason:

Rank      Player                   Team   Rec   Yds   Avg   TDs   Long
21      Deion Branch   NE   78   998   12.8   5   51
24       Donte' Stallworth   NO   70   945   13.5   7   43
36      Ashley Lelie   DEN   42   770   18.3   1   56
(2004 - 3)      Javon Walker   GB   89   1382   15.5   12   79
(2004 - 51)   Todd Pinkston   PHI   36   676   18.8   1   80

Better than Lelie, arguably as good as Branch.  Regardless, one hell of an upgrade over Pinky.   :yay
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I am amazed this thread is so short, considering this is a player that everybody seems very excited about.

How long does everyone think it will take to make an impact and will he play in the next preseason game?
