So would it be in the Eagles best interest to use some of that cap to extend Stallworths contract now?

IIRC, they can use up 2006 cap room until some time in November... so I think they see how he does for a few games and then possibly start to talk about a deal with Rosenhaus.

problem is the last word in the sentence, Rosenhaus, frauline of Hitler. He will command a kings ransom for Stallworth to stay there, they also need to extend Mike Lewis if he comes down off his crackhead notion that he is the #1 Safety in the NFL.
