All told, I'd still sign him at vet min for the rest of the year.  He can still play, has playoff experience, knows the defense, and would cost next to nothing. Solid insurance policy, at the very least.

New regime; he's 35; they're trying to get younger. From what I read, his injury wasn't season-ending, so they put him on IR minor--which is as soon as you get healthy and work out an injury settlement, the team releases you.
