i've been watching sons of liberty miniseries on history channel.

sam adams is a sexy badass ninja and i'm guessing like 20 years younger than he really was at the time of the war. and they show general gage as this ruthless dictator type, which i'm pretty sure wasn't the case.

so it's obviously not too accurate but still fun to watch if you love historical shtein like I do.

I have it on DVR.  My cohort in the history department said it wasn't very accurate at all.  I'll let you know when I see it, which will probably be about 6 months after you've forgotten you've ever seen it, the way my schedule is going right now.

Yeah Sons of Liberty is pretty bad as far as accuracy goes, but it has been a fun/entertaining watch. Sam Adams was definitely like 15 years older and chubby. Pretty sure he wasn't present at the Boston Massacre. I don't remember how much of what they're portraying Paul Revere as is real. Some of the events are completely fabricated too, like the entire opening scene with Adams and the arrest warrent and etc.

yeah paul revere and sam adams definitely were not heart throb badasses that led the revolutionary army. but its still kinda fun as long as you don't use it as a history lesson.

i also tried marco polo but couldn't finish it because it was pretty bad.

but in reality no one wants to watch a show of portly gentlemen so i guess it makes sense.

Ones I have enjoyed on Netflix are Peaky Blinders, House of Cards, Lillyhammer and Luther.  Anyone else's wife wanting them to watch Downton Abbey?

I am also one of those people who can't stand the inaccuracies in Sons of Liberty.  I am okay with changes from a book but it's hard to watch this show.
