Diomedes

I didn't laugh once in the first two minutes so I killed it.  Count me out of the cult of Maher.

his stand up is horrible...i fast forward thru his monologue every week...but the other 55 minutes of the show is godly

I just marathoned all 5 seasons of Friday Night Lights thru Netflix.

The show had me instantly hooked from the gip. Yeah it dealt with high school-which was the exact reason I stayed away from the show-but it was just too good. The writing and acting were brilliant and all of the football related stuff had me gripped every time (although having almost every game come down to the last seconds was a bit over the top but easily still captivating). You'll find yourself somehow tied down and concerned for each character which is a pretty special thing for 5 seasons.

Nah-I dug every season. I didn't think I would like some of the change of characters but I did. Every ending to each episode had me wanting more.

I will admit though-I found myself from time to time fast forwarding some short scenes to get to the football practices and games. Eric Taylor is a pimp.

lol @ and loving season 2

everyone associated with the show would tell you it was garbage.

and the football stuff was probably the weakest part of the show, if such a thing existed.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i seriously would rather watch 90210 than season two of fnl...they were equally bad but at least 90210 was being itself

ill also add that season 1 of fnl was the only great season...one of the best seasons of tv ever...season 2 sucked tho and seasons 3-5 were good but overly cliched...the poor violent black side of town being pulled out of the muck and mire by whitey is so played out and it felt forced and afterschoolspecialish

it was particularly ironic that it centered around an actor who just so happened to be on the wire...a show which redefined in a magical way how these type of storylines should be portrayed

shtein I barely even remember season 2 and what the premise was even about. after watching that many shows in a row every night all the eps are blended in

all I know is I didn't despise season 2 it or I would have been gone.

Walking Dead has been a bit intense since the mid season break

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
