Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i record American Gangster on A&E every friday, its a rebroadcast of the BET show that chronicles Black gangsters such as Frank Lucas/Freeway Ricky Ross and others.  This past fridays was "Little Melvin" from baltimore, or more affectionately known as The Deacon from The Wire.

Last night's Curb introduced the Seinfeld reunion theme for this season and it was nice seeing the 5 of them (including Larry) back together.  Richards looks like ish though...

Region: Baltimore, MD
Claim to Fame: He's part of the inspiration for "The Wire."

his business was heroin and he did so much drug dealing that he made BET's short list of biggest gangsters ever yet they list his downfall as "framed by police"

he was though, they interviewed Simon and Burns, both said that Melvin was sent to jail by a dirty cop who falsified the arrest and all evidence.  Burns said, this cop ended up killing himself a year after the arrest under suspicion of being dirty.  But it didnt matter as Melvin stayed in jail.  It was a really a good one IGY, you'll appreciate the stuff around him.  Dude has an IQ of 164.

no one is saying he wasnt framed but BET is a complete joke and if they could they would televise a minstrel show if it got them ratings

and i have read a ton about melvin...i highly suggest reading homocide or any of the other books that are either about him or reference him...there also used to be a good blog regarding baltimore city crime history that talks a ton about him...not sure if it still exists tho
