leno will probably go to abc, push kimmel to 1230.

fox wanted to get in the game but leno skewers too old for them. i see them making a huge push at jon stewart but he will most likely wind up following letterman when he calls it a day. they offered conan an obscene amount of money, but he stayed with nbc on the condition that the next contract extension would lead him to the tonight show...which it did.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

MDS, whats the outlook for Jericho thus far?

The more I hear, the more it sounds like this mini-season is it for the show.

numbers went up last night because quarterlife bombed on nbc. svu reruns will be back next week so jerichos numbers should go back down.

im about 99.9% certain that this is it for jericho. they were lucky to get this far, so enjoy em.

I've been disappointed with Jerichos return.  Too much depending on coincidence, and jamming way too much into each episode.  Jake is almost like Jack Bauer - never sleeps, is everywhere at once, and commands too much respect for being quite douchy.

Season 1 had a lot of potential IMO, but S2 is trying way too hard.

I'll watch till the end though.

That's what Letterman did when he jumped from NBC to CBS back in the day.

Not really.  He actually was always ripping NBC/GE even when on NBC, and he kept doing so on CBS.  He takes potshots at CBS, but nothing substantial.

MDS

letterman essentially had no choice but to leave nbc. he was passed over for the tonight show, and couldnt stick around as lenos back up. so it was either go somewhere else or retire. so he went somewhere else AND got paid.

sdeagle- 24 will be back in january of 09. they want to run 24 straight episodes of the show and the only way to do that is next winter. they have 8 episodes already done, i wouldve gone back and filmed 4-5 and aired a "half day" beginning in march/april, then just did a normal 24 in 09. but i dont run fox.

Leno's popularity is a testament to the American viewing publics' utter lack of taste.

thanks yo...I guess they'll stay with the same storyline involving the break up of CTU and Tony Alameda.

MDS

yea they are going straight into filming the remainder of the season. so itll be less work for everyone there.

So I was watching Snatch last night.  Didn't realize Hawkins (from Jericho) played Sol in that movie.  Guess he's British.
