sillycone valley gets a B from me. a few funny lines mixed around a predictable if not interesting story. massive problem: no women.

veep premiere was great. the writing and line delivery on that show is a clinic.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

a huge if....but if hannibal can get a few more seasons it might enter into the pantheon of my favorite shows.....this season has been fantastic

i thought silicon valley was fine but not great.  i'll give it a few more episodes though.

then again that's my stance on Office Space & Mike Judge in general, so maybe it's not for me.

I'm halfway through season 1 of Orphan Black and I like it so far.  Hannibal is next in the queue.

if you want to watch a really good show that will be probably get canceled because its on the wrong network: review on comedy central

comedy central hasnt produced a show like this in forever, or maybe ever. subversive, slightly serialized, not very loud or overtly colorful. its nothing like key/peele, chappelle, amy schumur, kroll, etc. its not a sketch show. its really kind of dark but stupid and silly to its core at the same time. if you want to laugh while a guy's life is ruined because he has to review things, then this is the show for you.

i cant recommended it enough...its my favorite new comedy show in ages

Stephen Colbert is getting the Late Show when Letterman retires next year
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Munson

Ugh, sucks. The Colbert Report and his character will always be better than any of the late shows.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

smeags

will he bring that style to the late night show or would that be an issue with comedy central ?
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

Munson

I think WashigtonPost said no he would not. I don't think he could anyway, wouldn't go over well on network TV IMO. I could see him doing segments using the character though.

Also, he and Fallon are really good friends, now they're direct competitors. At least with TCR, he was never really going to steal more than a million-2 million viewers.

Seriously, who has time to sit thru an hour-long talk show or even the patience for that matter?

Lololololool at this farging guy

Quote"I'll give you the short version: CBS has just declared war on the heartland of America," Limbaugh said. "No longer is comedy going to be a covert assault on traditional American values, conservatives. Now it's just wide-out in the open. What this hire means is a redefinition of what is funny and a redefinition of what is comedy. And they're blowing up the 11:30 format under the guise of 'the world is changing.' 'People don't want the kind of comedy that Carson gave us or even Letterman. They don't want that anymore.' It's the media planting the flag here. I think even the media's last stand, but it's a declaration. There's no unity in this hire. They hired a partisan so-called comedian to run a comedy show."

General_Failure

Damn them for not going with Larry the Cable Guy.

The man. The myth. The legend.

"traditional american values" - pop as many pills and marry as many women as humanly possible

I really enjoyed S4 of TWD, specifically the 2nd half of the season.  It's just a fun show. Not great or anything, just fun.

S2 of House of Cards started off fantastic but I thought they really rushed things. I'm guessing that means S3 is going to be the final season and I'm hoping they rushed S2 so that they could go a little slower in S3. S2 was still really good, but disappointing in comparison to the first.

MDS

i really liked it up until the end....they just basically got from point A to point B because they had to since it was the last episode

i thought s2 would be it, but who knows. maybe theyll go to 4 or 5.
