Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i watched an episode of law and order criminal intent today for the first time ever. must have been one of those ripped from the headlines episodes from the vick dog fighting year. the boxer who goes to jail for dogfighting is wallace from the wire. his trainer is the dad from wonder years. an the dude that sells the pit bulls is farging ralph macchio. and jeff goldblum was on this show. i always thought this was the vincent donofrio show.

I never really watched Criminal Intent, but I watch USA Network a lot so they pimped that show a lot....It was D'Onofrio for a long time, but he left and Goldblum came on for a season or two from what I can remember. I think D'onofrio eventually came back but I don't remember.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Nice.  End it before it cant have a great episode every week.

yeah, i'm not sure where else they could have gone.  especially when historically prohibition ending has to be coming up if they are trying to stay somewhat grounded in history.  Enuch Johnson in real life wasn't a major player for a long period of time.  It would actually be awesome to do a spinoff show just for capone and his rise
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

i think it may be a year early in this case as the show is on fire right now....but i agree that id rather it go too early than too late

Personally, I'd rather see Lansky and Luciano's rise to power post prohibition.  You could keep the story line going thru the 60's with Cuba.

I started watching Sopranos all over again since i somehow molded C and Jackie Jr in my mind.  Paulie being scared of 3oclock, and seeing the psychic after Chris gets shot is an all timer.

hbo and winter are selling it as a story decision but the lack of buzz/awards and middling ratings for the show probably had something to do with it. winter is making a 60's rock drama for hbo and can also do movies, that also perhaps played a part.

though really the show is on fire now and ending it right here is probably a good call.

It doesn't get good ratings?

But yet people watch something called Honey Boo Boo and a bunch of stupid goddamn singing shows

On the good side...I can finally cancel HBO after they end the show. HBO is a waste of money
