one thing i don't get - if hank is really dying in that scene like i figured he would, why not just off him as the climax?  the fact that they cut away before that leads me to think he may make it out.

I think Gomez and Jesse die, but Hank survives. Walt probably intervenes and tells them he won't cook unless they spare Hank's life. He probably welch's on that and they mess up his house. He goes back later for revenge or to tie up loose ends.

no way Jesse dies in that scene...he was just about out the door.

a few times last night i went back and forth on whether i liked this turn of events.  on one hand, it annoyed me that hank and jesse were able to get one past walt so easily.  walt has always been smarter than everyone else and now he gets fooled to the extent that he's confessing murders on the phone (i thought that was going to be the proof they used to arrest him).  but then i realize that walt's world is crumbling and he's totally shook at this point and that's why he couldn't see the long term angle that was right in front of him.

if he goes handcuffed on the floor of the back seat of a car ducking for his life from a thousand rounds of automatic gunfire to "intervening" and stopping all that then the show should be immediately cancelled and not be allowed to show the last two episodes

i cant see anyway the next episode doesn't begin with a shot of the cops bullet riddled bodies on the floor of the desert....if either of them lived thru that it would be beyond preposterous and not something gilligan would do

i agree that theres gonna be a war bwtn cranston and the neo nazis but its gonna be because they killed his brother in law (after forecefully telling them not to show up there)...cranston repeatedly preaches family and the fact that his wifes sister is now husbandless is going to make him go off
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

General_Failure

There's no one left to save Walt. The Brotherhood are going to have their Cook, and Walt is in no position to bargain.

The man. The myth. The legend.

if the show is just opening with a shot of hank dead then it should've happened at the end of the last episode.

ice grillin you

i agree with that.....it should have ended the episode...but out of all the possible scenarios them being alive would be the worst

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

so i've been watching friday night lights and what the farg happens at the end of season 2? it's like they just forgot to write the last 2-3 episodes. i was shocked to see that the next episode was season 3.

SunMo

I think that was during the writer's strike

I'm thinking Hank ends up alive laying in the hospital in a coma or something were he's not conscious and Walt's caught up in wtf do I do now? Jessie might make it but no way does Gomez.

that was only part of it...thats what caused the abrupt ending. if i recall they thought they were gonna come back to finish the season after the strike ended but nbc said no. so the last ep before the strike they didnt really plan as any kind of finale, they thought they were gonna get 4-5 more eps.

they came back for s3 and just decided to start from scratch since s2 was such a disaster. most of us just pretend s2 didnt happen.
