The season finale of Elementary was pretty good. I don't know much about procedural crime dramas, but I know I like this cast and the writing.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Office ended on a high note the last two episodes after being garbage for the last 2-3 years

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Agreed. All things considered, they did a really nice job with the finale. Glad they left on a high note. The way this season had been, it would have been easy to assume they'd farg it all up.

Just watched.  WTF

SunMo

signed up for Netflix in anticipation for Arrested Development to come back on Sunday.  I can't wait for that.

In the meanwhile, I started watching the netflix original House of Cards.  Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright, the hot Mara sister, and others.  Two episodes in and it's pretty good.  The only thing I don't like is that Spacey talks to the camera at points to give background or other information.  I don't like it in general but i really don't like it in a drama.

I watched House of Cards over the last two weeks.  Finished it yesterday.

Meh, good but not great.  I was involved and entertained but like it slightly less the more I think about it.

i fell asleep during 2 of the first 3 episodes of arrested development. very disappointing so far.

I found the beginning kind of boring too, but I liked the season. I hated how they basically did one scene from like 5 different angles (each being an episode), but it was still funny. I think I really started to like it around the 4th episode, and Tobias' is the 5th which was unsurprisingly hilarious.

MDS

its not arrested development...its something that sort of resembles it

there are many missteps. with no 22 minute timeframe the episodes are too long and bloated. there isnt enough interaction between the characters. some (lindsey, george sr) cant hold their own episode. the narrator talks too much. too much lucille 2.

most of that is because the show was shot in a random format. actors were only available for a short period of time and they worked around that, which is why the episodes focus on 1 character and dont have the normal A B C plots of a typical sitcom structure.

there was a lot going on and its impossible to get it all in one sitting. the stuff that worked was funny as farg and the stuff that didnt was brutal. i give it a B- to B right now but i need to take some time then go in for a second viewing to really digest it.

i wonder if they could have even 6 episodes but done it in normal style if that would have been better.

I'm watching it, but I'm only up to the fifth episode of the the new season. It's not the same show, but it's still different and at the worst mildly entertaining. The years haven't been super kind to a bunch of them, though.

portia de rossi doesnt look like that...its fake plastic surgery the character got
maeby yeah thats her. oh well.
steve holt doesnt look that awful in real life

its a tv show. for a reason.

I haven't even seen Steve Holt yet. I assure you I understand make-believe. That said, a lot of them aged poorly. Not like me, who never ages a day, obviously.

SunMo

The more episodes I watch the better it gets.  I agree that George and Lindsay can't hold their own episodes though.  Tobias and Gob's were great
