The BIGSTUD

Let the Right One In. Love that movie.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

OSKAR...OSKAR

BTW, The Pacific trailers are giving me a giant boner.  The new Bushemi show, Boardwalk Empire looks good, at least i like the casting and premise.

pacific reviews are coming in great, as expected

boardwalk empire set for sept, around labor day. see no reason why it shouldnt be $
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Chuck's two hour premiere was on tonight.    I was really looking forward to it but it ended up being just meh.

Tomahawk

I missed it but if I remember correctly the only good thing about Chuck was that hot piece of blondeness

BigEd76

Simon Cowell announced he's leaving American Idol after this season to bring his UK show "X Factor" to the US

SunMo

they are re-running band of brothers on HBO at 8pm on Sunday's.  i finally get a chance to watch this shtein unedited.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Seabiscuit36

I've been watching them each week, i cant get enough until the Pacific comes out.  The casting on BOB was great, there was some actors who really got a good boost to their careers after being in it, but for the most part you have a bunch of guys in it who i havent seen in much else, but like The Wire, they were great in their roles.  The worst part of BOB was Jimmy Fallon as the supply guy.

i really enjoyed it from a historical perspective but i didnt think BOB was overly well acted or super entertaining

im admittedly not a big war movie guy so it was really slow in many parts

it has zero replay value for me

all that said i can totally understand why a war movie head would love it and you can tell it was produced at an extremely high quality

love that friggin series or any war movie for that matter...but to me band of brothers trumps them all

I actually watched the whole thing for the first time on youtube--each segment in 20 minute intervals-- thats how friggin hooked I was. sitting in front of my computer for like 6+ hours...ridiculous

thats my idea of high comedy

entertaining and well acted = the GOAT wire x one billion

and i dont think BOB was wack or anything just not memorable in terms of acting or writing

if you're not into historical movies or war movies, then i can see how band of brothers wouldn't be your cup of joe since there's like 10 friggin hours of it, but i think you're the first person i've ever seen complain about the acting.  the entire production....from the writing, casting, directing all the way down to the food spread available on set was top notch.
