I've never seen any of these shows except for Jon & Kate because I avoid reality TV like a rotten crotch, but you're all proving that my efforts to avoid the genre are not unfounded.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I've still never watched a minute of Survivor/Big Brother/American Idol

ive seen a few minutes of american idol as my girls mom worships it and when i visit her she will have it on but other than that i havent seen too many of the prime time ones...the ones on cable tv i see because they repeat them 24/7 so ill flick on them to get taste of how bad they are and to keep up on all things pop culture

What makes Deadliest Catch a disgrace? It's a little repetitive after awhile, but as far as reality TV goes, it's not bad at all. Certainly not in the Jon and Kate category in the slightest.

the bold part is the key words

and a woman would say that deadliest catch is not in the slightest category with jon and kate...the fact is while the content of the two shows couldnt be different they are both on the same level as far as being decent quality FOR A REALITY SHOW

don't watch survivor or big brother at all.  i'll watch american idol once they get done with the auditions and move on to the actual competition.  i wouldn't lump it in as a "reality show" though either.  it's more like star search on steriods.  i don't make it a point to watch the show every week but if i'm home and it's on, i'll watch.  i saw the finale a couple weeks ago and it was a pretty good show with performances from kiss, queen, santana, queen latifa, etc, etc.  i don't mind watching shows like that when the people they put on stage actually have some talent.  it's the first couple of shows when they show the auditions with all of the douchebags just wanting to get on camera for a minute that i can't stand.

the la fox channel is super annoying when it comes to american idol though.  their 10 o'clock news team spends about 15 minutes talking about american idol after every show.  they even have these 2 trampy looking "reporters" that they send out to the show and they usually just ramble on and on about nothing.  stupid sluts.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I like Deadliest Catch.

reese125

as did I...but I my heart could only take so much craziness of them either pulling up 5 crabs or a full pot.

Seabiscuit36

Deadliest Catch is so cut apart, and put together.  When the Cornelia Marie brought in all the dead crab, it was from an earlier trip.  They make it seem like they're out there for one trip that lasts 50 days.

The good part of Deadliest Catch starts next week, Winter weather.  To me the best part of the show is how ridiculously bad the ocean gets.

99% of tv viewers are complete morons

Speaking of horrible TV shows.  The wife and i gave up on CSI Miami last season, thank god.  Just saw promos on the DVR of upcoming shows, they've gone into putting people in wheelchairs/blowing up the labs/bringing back the dead.  just a horrible show.
