I checked ones off whether I've seen at least one ep all the way up to the whole season. My total is 46.

House of Cards being at 83 is kinda low

Notable omission? Jericho.

i watch too much tv...and i didn't even count a few shows that i've watched a couple times.
lemonade was a popular drink and it still is

68. There were a few that I caught episodes of, like say ER, but if I couldn't remember character names or even the general plot or story line, then I didn't count it. I did count it if I caught it in syndication though.

Did you not have Mr TV as a babysitter as a kid?

Regularly?  About 5.  I've seen episodes of probably 25-30 or so of them... mostly the older ones that were on Channel 17 or 48 when I was a kid.

Most of the newer shows on that list I've never seen...or haven't seen more than an ep or 2 of and don't really know much about them.  I used to watch the hell out of a lot of those older shows that were in syndication as a kid though.

Kind of surprised that shows like The Brady Bunch and The Flintstones didn't make their list.  Brady Bunch was incredibly popular and long running and even though it was corny, it dealt with a few subjects that were considered too taboo for tv at the time, like divorced people and step-families.  I think it was also the first show to actually show husband and wife in the same bed.  And Flintstones was The Simpsons before they even existed.  Neither show really belongs on the list, imo, but from what I can remember from other best shows lists, those 2 have constantly appeared.

QB Eagles

I would rank the Flintstones above half of the shows on that list that I've seen episodes of. It was basically The Honeymooners, though.

Just about everything before the Sopranos is ranked too high, though. A lot of times, these "Top 100" lists are skewed too much to the present, but with TV it's the opposite mistake. Very few pre-2000 dramas hold up, especially. Only the ones that were surreal still work for me, like Twin Peaks or the Twilight Zone or the original version of The Prisoner. People looking for shtein to watch are generally better off trying other Golden Age of TV shows instead of going back to the "classics". That's post-2000. Just because it was important or popular doesn't mean it's still watchable.

General_Failure

If we're talking about the list itself, it probably goes too hard on sketch variety shows. Key & Peele had a few amazing sketches, but a shteinload of them that meandered and went nowhere. SNL is probably 99% garbage by volume, but has been on for so long that you can't ignore it on a list like this. If you're going to have The State on here, it shouldn't be ahead of In Living Color or Mr Show. I wouldn't argue that any of them really belong on here either, but they did help start some amazing careers.

In no way should the UK version of The Office be on any top list with so few digits.

I thought key & peele being on there was really weird. I've seen it a few times and their sketches are an absolute hit or miss.

General_Failure

When they hit, they really fargin' hit though. They just didn't know how to end a sketch. Or make people watch the show instead of youtube clips of the good skits.

luke cage is to me, the best of the three marvel series that Netflix has done so far.

Just finished season 1 and I don't think I could disagree with this any more. It's a good watch if you're into it, but I could easily see a casual observer tuning out on this one. The acting is mostly bad and the writing is ok at best.  I liked how they ended the finale though...it was very Wire-esque.

Next up for Netflix I believe is Iron Fist and then The Defenders.

Don Ho

All I give a rats ass about is that Hill Street Blues, Curb and Larry Sanders are on that list.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.
