It reminded me of the stuff they pulled with the Sopranos, when Tony was shot and doing the whole Kevin Finnerty thing.

yeah thats a fair comparison....i didnt think it worked from the start in the sopranos....the leftovers did it last week and i thought they pulled it off well...this week it became gratuitous i thought

Fargo is excellent. Not really sure where the ufo stuff fits in or what it adds.

my read on it is....the whole thing is a "story," like something thats told around the campfire or in bars and shtein. most of it is so crazy that you would never believe its true, that kind of stuff. hanzee almost feels like an urban legend at this point. and the ufo is just part of that. during the 70s, i guess, it was a giant craze that people claimed to spot them. so the ufo just becomes part of the tale, true or not.

i dont really like it, either. in a way it almost kinda ruins it.

I'm kind of thinking that they left some loopholes open to develop plot lines with a couple of the characters.

Most shows I watch had/are having their mid season finales. Be a good time to binge both seasons of fargo.

that was kinda my reaction...though to be fair ep9 was so good they really had nothing left to do. played like an elongated afterword.

one of the best aspects of the finale was the hanzee deal, but i didnt even know what that meant until i read sepinwall. how the farg do they expect people to remember minor character names from the first season, which aired 2 years ago? i cant remember shtein that happened 2 seconds ago.

all in all a superb season. s3 drops in spring of 2017. you heard me. 2017.

Comic Nerds: DARE DEVIL S2. LUKE CAGE & IRON FIST each get their own series. I had heard that Iron Fist was coming, but didn't know about Luke Cage.

Hip Hop/Music Heads: THE GET DOWN - A musical drama set in 1970's NYC about the early days of hip-hop, disco, and punk from MOLUIN ROGUE director Baz Luhrman and THE SHEILD creator Shawn Ryan, strange bedfellows to say the least. Jimmy Smits stars.

Sci-Fi geeks: LOST IN SPACE - Another reboot, this time of the groundbreaking 1960's sci-fi TV show. A movie was made back in the late 90's but hopefully no trace of that will be found here. STRANGER THINGS - A sci-fi drama about a boy who vanishes into thin air. Starring Winona Ryder.

Rome & other old people: FULLER HOUSE - A reboot of Full House with most of the cast returning, excluding the two people who benefited the most from the original series, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Yeah, they're picking up Cage next, followed by Iron Fist. I'd be surprised if they actually released the latter in 2016.

I'm currently trying to catch up on Daredevil...and it's kind of mediocre and boring.
