It was def a big let down. Probably the most disappointing episode in the entire series.

And yeah, that little kid (Sam) has got to go. Whiney little bastich. But Corol still need to go and so does the kid who looks like twilight. The chubby lesbians can stay if they find a treadmill, otherwise they can go too.

the scene of them walking out with their heads and faces completely normal but wearing bloody sheets looked so ridiculous...like at least wipe your faces with blood or make a ghost/kkk outfit where the sheet covers your head

also when those chicks handing over their guns to that dood with the hostage was beyond dumb...particulary when that one chick the week before killed like 12 staright zombies with forehead shots in like six seconds when that guy was hanging on the rope...but she cant hit the W on that cats head from four feet away?

i finally took it off my dvr last night and feel like an icehole for watching it most of the last four or whatever years

if you are smart you wont...i remember sunny bailing on it in year one i think and telling me to do the same...i said i would and didnt until this week...and my life was much the worse for it

It would never work if it stuck to the books. People who read the books would already know exactly what's coming next, not to mention that there'd be people bitching up a storm about this little change, that little change, or just skipping something completely. It's the same reason why movies taken from books almost always get picked apart by people who read the book.

Also, because the books were so popular, any new audience to be drawn in would have nearly everything spoiled and they'd likely bail early.

I think the way they did it was great....change it up enough to keep the readers unsure of what is coming next, but maintain enough elements that the world and characters are at least familiar to them. This way people like me, who didn't read the books, can't come across too many spoilers.

The execution has been lacking at times, but all in all its still a perfectly fine show and is still better than like 95% of anything currently on TV.

I disagree sarge. its one thing to stretch the story a tad, all shows/movies based off books do that, but they are going way overboard and as a result its getting cheesy at times.

don't get me wrong, im still a fan and will continue to watch but its not must see real time to me any longer. ill watch it on dvr.

I haven't read the books, but I've got to imagine the cheese factor is just as strong at times in them as well. I look at it like this....if there were no books and the show was just an original idea, I think it'd still be experiencing roughly the same amount of success. Maybe even more successful because I'm sure there's a portion of the book readers who bailed on the show because it's so different from the books. Those guys would almost certainly be watching the show.

I have fun with it. I think its a really fun shoe. Me and squaw are both into it, so it's cool for the relationship. We are constantly scoping out different locations when we're out and about talking about what would make for a nice post apocalypse dwelling. We live about 2 miles from a state mental hospital, so we're going to take over the maximum security section...shtein looks almost identical to the prison. Also, we live right near a river and there's a bunch of tiny islands in there. That will be our fall back plan and we'll build an ewok village in the trees on one of those little islands and use our canoe to get to and from the river bank.
