anyway, i'll give a litle more leeway to the baseball-occer argument, but comparing it to football is ridonkulous.

i know it is, but i was exaggerating to make a point

soccer is fundamentally a terribly boring sport.  the World Cup makes it a lil more exciting because of the stakes, but it's still deathly boring.

Don't get me wrong, I luv me sum Eagles.  But it's just the NFL.  It's not the best in the world.  And it happens every year, rather than every four.  Stakes is higher in WC.

Baseball is blah and the players are wimps. I always think of Scott Rolan getting hit by a base runner and missing the rest of the playoffs for the Cardinals. That same year I saw a hockey player get 10 stiches above his eye and return to finish the 3rd period of a regular season game. Plus baseball is the only sport where the athletes can get away with having a beer gut... which is admirable actually. I like to go to baseball games but I can't watch it on TV.

Soccer is brutal and tough to play but hard to watch too. Especially when the games are all 1 to nothing, or zero zero ties. meh to both sports.

I just can't understand how someone can be bored by watching soccer.  I believe you all that you can't stay awake through it, but I just don't get it.

You got to have lots of points to enjoy it?  You have to have blood to be entertained?  I don't get it.

College lacrosse is about as exciting as sports gets. If you want action and skill there is no better sport. I know you love your urban roots, IGY and lacrosse is an easy target since it has traditionally been a prep sport, but you are obviously not a sports fan if you can't appreciate lacrosse as a sport.

everybody has their own sports, there's nothing wrong with that, but everyone feels the need to trash baseball which forces me to respond.  for people who love soccer, good for you.  why the need to bash baseball?
