Wrong again. I spent the majority of my childhood obsessed with the sport. Playing it, watching it. Obsessed. Then I discovered contact sports and realized that you can have strategy in a game that actually requires athletic ability. Bye bye baseball.

Yes, more than football.  Every pitch that isn't swung on is dead time.  Every pop-foul is dead time.  Every routine play of any sort is dead time.  Even a QB sneak for a 1 foot gain in football is more exciting than most grand slams.

that's just wrong, and you're being wrong to be the contrarian, so it's cool.  but to say a pitch not swung on is down time is just stupid.

there's more excitement in a pitchout during the 5th inning of a game in april than there is during one half of one of these world cup games.

the reason football players get a 45 second beak during plays is because they're actually doing something during that play.  you know, like running and hitting people and stuff.

a baseball player could go through an entire 3 hour game without having to run once.  say a right fielder who doesn't get a single ball and strikes out 3 times.

anyway, i'll give a litle more leeway to the baseball-occer argument, but comparing it to football is ridonkulous.

regardless, even fancy boy soccer players are more exciting than baseball players.
