Those who can, do!
Those who can\'t, teach!

Get a real occupation and leave the \"Evil Empire\" (the USEA).

Can't what, type?  Also, not a member of "USEA," which, according to Google, is the United States Energy Association, and according to Wikipedia, it's the United States Eventing Association.  Nice try.

[/quoteFor some reason the board puts in those slashes. I thought your union was the US education association. A rose by any other name smells as sweet. And the teachers union sucks! It is pure evil. Tenure is the downfall of the education system in this country.

1.  The two national teacher unions are the National Educators' Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

2.  I am a member of neither.

Those who can think originally, do.
Those who can't, quote others.
Those who can't use the quote feature have posts that end up looking like that.

I clicked "quote" and it didn't throw in the backslashes. Go figure.

(I know what part of the board software does that, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how someone would make it visible like that.)

Not trying to continue to get too off-topic, but picking on Teachers is akin to picking on Missionaries. Considering most Teachers are way underpaid for educating our children--especially these days when too many parents are also leaving most of life's lessons on the school system in addition to Reading, Math and History--Teaching these days is a choice made by most because they want to help others learn and grow, not because they are motivated by the pursuit of wealth.

Besides military service, I consider it one of the more selfless professions.

(If anyone wants to pick on Sally Struthers, that's still ok.)

It's funny how she's been asking for money for starving kids in Africa for all these years and yet the kids are still starving and she continues to get fatter.

Bullshtein!! The goals of the teachers\\\' union and the insane tenure system is to protect teachers, not to educate children. I do agree that teaching can be a truly altruistic profession, but outcome counts. Results count!

And by the way, those slashes keep going in anytime I use quotation marks in that post. Susq, could it have something to do with the fact that I am forced to use an IP hider?
