Magna Carta Holy Grail is pretty good.  It's not spectactular, and there aren't a bunch of tracks that punch you in the face, but it's a solid album.  Some of his lyrics are starting to get repetitive, but it's hard to have the same passion and fire when you pretty much rule the world.  on my second listen through and it's basically good background music.

and yes, Yeezus is horrible.  tried way to hard.  of course there are a ton of music snobs out there who will shout you down when you say that because "you just don't understand" and it's artistic and blah blah blah.  it's not good.  there is one song I like (Bound 2) and one that is ok (New Slaves).  The rest is just terrible
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Checked out the "Kings of the Mic" show last night at The Greek.

De La
Public Enemy
Ice Cube
LL Cool J....and the ladies definitely love Cool J.

Cool show, just wish Ice Cubed would have closed. I could have listened to De La for 6 hours. P.E. was cool too.

QuoteAnd now who would want to be either? Throughout "Magna Carta," the 43-year-old pretends he's a threat to a system he's so eagerly become a part of, as if his life as a champion capitalist is some perpetually escalating act of subversion. Hooray? Rooting for this man in 2013 is like rooting for Pfizer. Or PepsiCo. Or PRISM.

I forgot about this one. I'll have to adjust my top 20. Always liked it. smooth beat. IGY smalls, what's the 4-1-1 on this track? I don't remember Jamal doing anything significant afterward. You likey?

Another old time favorite. I'm not sure how much play this got over there on the east coast (for obvious reasons) but this was a nice track that was a product of this era. You can see the Liks and Ice Cube amongst others in that video.
