Javon Walker isnt, he signed an extension with Denver.

The Broncos and Walker (knee) agreed in principle to a six-year contract, the Denver Post reports. Financial terms of the deal were unavailable, and the contract is expected to be signed Monday.

It's looking way ahead, but I'd take Jimmy Smith for 2 years. He's still very productive.

Jeez. Just when I think you're going in the right direction you go back to snorting mounds of crack (maybe you got some of Jimmy Smith's stash?).

He was thinking about retiring this year!

But, I'd take Branch and Stallworth over him simply for their youth. Plus they aren't bad receivers either.

Once again.

He was thinking about retiring this season.

So you want him for two more years AFTER this year?

Stop.

The BIGSTUD

As long as he's still productive. One year would be ideal for him though.

I hope we can land Jasper next year.

So what happens to Dawk after this year.   Does he get an extension now or do the Eagles let him "test" the FA market?

Don't teams have until late Oct/early Nov to sign players to extensions and allow part of it to count against this year's cap? ......or something like that?

I think (hope) that after the first month or so of the season, the Eagles will evaluate Dawk's performance and make him an offer to keep him from hitting FA next year.  If free agency comes next year and the Eagles haven't signed him then I'd say it's a safe bet that he won't be back.

If Gaffney doesn't make it this year, I wouldn't mind looking at Branch or Wilford.  Wilford is the least known among the Jags receivers of Williams, Smith and Jones, but is very productive and appears to be the kind of WR the FO likes to target: young, upcoming and relatively cheap.
