because a homers opinion on the team is rendered null and void...especially so in your case with your connection to spads and in turn the team

whenever you give an opinion it cant be considered because no one can know if what youre saying is what you really believe

99% of the time its pro team and youre just spewing the company line whether youre with it or not

the 1% negative that you might come with is suspect because you most likely are saying it to try and convince people that you really arent a flaming homer

not so much that in this case...its an eagles message board so by default youre gonna have more homers than not...in that sense tho this board is actually the best youll find...

this time it has more to do with a lot of this board not growing up in around philly and having the same connection to the team...and before you go where i know youre gonna go NO i dont mean not as good a fan i mean having a different kind of connection with the team

like i was saying before a lot of people that dont have that connection only care about wins and losses...and while they live and die with the wins and losses just like i do they dont care about any other connection to the team above and beyond that

and that applies in this example because banner is talking to the people of philly when he makes his comments...hes not talking to the eagle fan in florida or missouri or utah...thus that fan isnt going to be as bothered by this
