Like I said - Big slump for Howard...

Was that Hernandez play as bad as it sounded on the radio?

What the farg is it about Phillies 3B?

Last year Bell booted a grounder in the 9th of a tight game and it cost them

Babe booted one a few days ago and it cost them.

Hernandez booted one tonight and it cost them a run.

Luckily it did not cost them the game. Flash K's Borchard and the ballgame is over.

Phils win 3-2. :yay

I BELIEVE!!!...............well, sort of. :paranoid

If anything, it was worse.  Totally cut Rollins off, and then booted it. Even allowing for the fact that Cabrera could have possibly beaten the throw (as long as it seemed to take him to chug into second, I doubt it), the play at least gave him 2nd base.

Final Score:  Ryan Howard 3, Marlins 2.

Ryan Howard, Jamie Moyer, Tom Gordon: Thanks
Everyone else: farg you
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

1.5 back of the Padres for the wildcard again.

They're just taunting us.

More on the breaking news of the slump of Ryan Howard:

QuoteRyan Howard hit two more home runs, his 55th and 56th of the season, driving in all the Phillies' runs in their 3-2 victory over the Marlins. Howard has hit 12 home runs in 48 at-bats since Aug. 25. He has outhomered nine teams and hasn't gone more than seven at-bats without a home run during that span.

It be nice if he'd so something every now and then.

He is batting .517 in Semptember.

They should have unloaded him at the trading deadline when they still had the chance.

Yeah, that is incredibly accurate - get something for him while he still has some value!

Utley 2 HR's tonight.

Burrell almost dropped ome in LF, I was shocked to see him look that bad in the field.

Tied 2-2 in the 4th.

Pads lost. Must win.

Bases loaded,  nobody out. Manuel decides to PH for Dellucci with Conine. Now I was against this move because the pitcher (a lefty) was missing horribly to both Utley and Howard (walks). You figure, he either will continue to have no control or he will start grooving some fastballs because of the situation. You think Dellucci could handle that?

Well, Conine strikes out against a new pitcher. Then Burrell pops up on a 3-1 fastball over the middle of the plate. Then Ruiz lines out. Awsome.
