Rick White is probably the best pitcher ever to wear a Phillies uni.  Why isn't he closing?

Know what I find hilarious?

The same clowns who used to blast Bobby A for not going into a wall like to blast Rowand for playing like he does. I heard call after call on the radio yesterday night saying "Rowand should be more careful".

Idiots.

Apparently it's alright for Utley to get his uniform dirty but when he and another player collide going after a ball, it's the other player's fault for dirtying that uniform.

How about this: Both players were charging after the ball and a collision happened.  It's no one's fault.  shtein like this happens.  I'd rather both players go balls out on the field than play like candy asses.

agree. its called hustle--when bobby learns that he might be a golden glove again

It's both of their faults. They play a game that requires zero physical contact and then when there randomly is some contact it's big news and one of them ends up on the IL. Fruity mens, the lot of them.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Rowand & Utley are clearly out of shape.  Neither one of them are athletes.  That's why they got hurt running into each other at high speed.

any collision will make the espn highlight reel and when your starter gets hurt, of course it news.

and by no means that it means they are out of shape...but im sure that was sarcasim off your fingertips

ice grillin you

if utley was a DH like he should be the collision would have never happened

Utley is an above average defensive second baseman.

Both his range factor and zone rating are pretty good.

I don't know, but he's roughly average.  He's not a "butcher" as some have said.

im playing about utley...hes not a butcher but hes def below average....i was laughing at that nerd dropping 'range factor' and 'zone rating'....hilarious

your telling me thats not how you judge baseball players?

mpmcgraw

You know nothing about baseball do you?

How many other secondbasemen do you see on a daily basis?  If you dont watch any other football games besides the eagles you probably dont watch any other baseball either.  How would you know what is average?  You dont.

I could dig up another sabrmetrics type defensive stat, but it had Bell as one of the top defensive third basemen in the league so I dont think you would like it.
