thank god he's not one of our starters.

no matter, they should slaughter him in the showers anyway.  not even getting one out is pathetic.

What an ass. There was no way he could have made that throw. Take what is there. Dumb shtein.

According to the radio guys the double play was there - force at third and Bell probably had enough time to get it to second.  Did it look that way on TV?

Cholly should have used Rhodes, Cormier...anyone, really. Franklin was lucky to get out of the 8th, there was no reason to bring him into the 9th. You just knew he was gonna blow it. He even got a gift bunt, but totally rushed the throw and threw it away.

Still...lack of offense against lhp continues. It's probably gonna be one of those things, shouldn't hurt the team too much. Bright side Lidle bounced back from his awful start, and Cole goes thursday (win). So if we win tommorrow (right hander), we take 2/3. Aint not bad.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

There could have been a double play, if Franklin had somehow made the throw, but the way he fielded the ball, it was IMO a stretch to think he could have gotten off a good throw to third. Even then it would have been close. He had a sure thing to first, and if the runner (who was slid into third) headed to home, for Howard to have more than enough time to get the ball back to the plate. That's the way it looked to me.

A good throw would have definitely gotten the runner at third.  Of course, it was all just a chasing of the wind.

And now I can't sleep.  bastiches.

no need to over analyize every game...you cant win everytime out...the main concern is the phils absolute ineptitude against lefthanders...luckily they miss glavine next week

one of the pleasures of watching a game that Gavin Floyd pitches is being able to listen to the absolute disdain that Larry Anderson has for him.

Bobby Abreu has a mustache now, he is 1 for 2 with a walk on this fine eve.

4-1 Phils still in the top of the 5th.
