It's still early. With the Mets' sub-par offense and average pitching :-D, I don't see how this game can get out of reach :o.

:paranoid :-D

Yeah, it's done. Was a fun streak though.

I think Howard might kill himself tonight. Poor guy.

With the way he is throwing the ball tonight, he would probably miss if he was trying to shoot himself, so we have that going for us.

Can't....................turn.................off.............zesty.....................game..................

At least there's a new Lost on tonight.

Yeah but I gotta wait six more hours as it is delayed in Hawaii.  Hopefully this debacle is over by 8:00 PM HST.

I wouldn't call Glavine "average", and since when do the Mets have a sub-par offense? I will agree that it is early, and not out of reach, but those two points about the Mets are stone retarded.

Not defending Lidle, he didn't show anything tonight, but they could have Christ throwing heat tonight and they would still be in a hole. The teams looks asleep.....so does the crowd.

Glavine is as old as my grandmother, and he's always been overrated anyway.

The Mets have always had a sub-par offense. They leave men on all the time and don't have many power hitters. Delgado is really their only power hitter and he strikes out far too much.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

He looks lost at the plate too, ya gotta wonder if there's something else going on with him.

The BIGSTUD

But, yeah, like MDS said. You always seem to lose streaks to those crappy teams. It's happening tonight. It's not a bad thing. It happens, it's baseball.

This is a trainwreck.

Philly_Forever is a total failure when it comes to any sort of prediction:

1. We'll get Javon Walker.
> Traded to Denver

2. We'll definately draft Chad Jackson if we don't get Walker
> Jackson goes to New England

3. The Flyers will kick Buffalo's collective asses. Esche is god.
> What an excellently competitive series that was.

4. Mets 6 Phils 0. It's early, the Mets offense and pitching is gimp. We're still in it.
> Poopy! It's 10-0 in the bottom of the third.

Let's hope he starts predicting the Eagles/Flyers/Phils/Soul/Whoever/Anyone won't win shtein. Ass.

Do some research. What are his stats thus far in the season? Get back to me on that. How many career wins does this "overrated" guy have? Get back to me with that too. Oh, and your grandmother is 40? Clemens is 43, Glavine is 40, so that must mean Clemens is teh supr-suk!

I didn't predict any of those things, but ok.

So far I haven't gotten a prediction wrong. I'm not the only one who said the game wasn't out of reach. That wasn't a prediction, it was a statement based on the game being down 4 runs. 4 runs isn't out of reach. I never predicted we'd win.

Glavine's 20 something wins from 300 victories, he's hardly what I'd called 'overrated'. And he's still very effective, in case you weren't watching tonight we've scored 0 runs.

A lineup only needs one pure power hitter, they have guys like Beltran, Wright, Floyd, and Nady who can drive in runs and have 30 HR potential.

18th in total runs. Which is on the bottom half of the league. Which is sub-par.

As for Glavine, I'm just being a hater.

Who is 17th? Oh, it's the Phillies.

What team is third in ERA? Oh, that would be the Mets. Their pitching is so totally average.

Burrell yard to left with Abreu on board. 10-2.

The was the first hit for the Phils.

Howard singles to left.

Bell strikes out looking, guns the bat to the ground, and probably gets himself a nice fine.
