Dandy Don Carman!!

That 5-15 season in '89 was to die for.

Geowhizzer

He was one of my first autographs.  :yay

I CAN'T TAKE THESE FOOLS ANYMORE!

They have said "crazy, windy, hot dog wrappers and where will THIS ball end up" 6,320 times.

SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!

Rome

Patricia just made a nice catch in left and then hit the cut-off man with a heck of a throw.

Too bad there was already three outs.

:-D

Did his signature go past the seams on the ball like his pitches went wide of the zone?

Amalio Carreno was one of my first ones. I was like 12 and Von Hayes had just big timed me. So I holler "Yo Amalio Carreno!" as he's walking to the bullpen at the Vet. He was an ex-Yankee farmhand and I had my trusty program with me. No one knew this guy. I think he didn;t speak english either. He looked happy to be giving an autograph.

Rome

Nice catch by the kid in the club level behind home plate!

Geary > David Bell ?

Don Carman > David Bell

Don Carman, Bruce Ruffin, Shane Rawley, now THOSE were the days.

Rome

Three up, three down.

Top 7, 7-6 Rockies.

Don't forget Floyd Youmans, Bob Sebra, Ken Howell, Chuck Malone, Wally Ritche and Todd Frohwirth too. Oh, and Alex Madrid!!

Geowhizzer

It all begins and ends with... Joe. Cowley.

Like in Major League.

"Ball Four."

"Ball Eight."

"Ball Twelve."

 :-D

No joke here - that dude was walking around the concourse one day during a rain delay in full uniform complete with metal spikes. I'm standing in line waiting for a soda and hot dog and I hear the spikes. I don't remember how old I was at the time, but I knew what metal spikes sounded like on concrete. I think they were playing the Cubs back when they used to wear the all blue tops as road jersey's.

I turn to my Pop and ask "who the hell is Cowley?"

His response: "Some no good bum. You throw better than him"

PhillyPhreak54

Ok, back to the present day bad Phillies and not the old time bad Phillies.

Gas Can put 2 guys on and now Fultz is in.

1st and 2nd with 0 outs  in the top7th.

PhillyPhreak54
