This is farging stupid.  Even the farging morons at philaphans wouldnt argue this when they are on their medication.

Rowand swings at everything.  He see's the least pitches per at bat on the team out of any regular player.  He hardly walks.  He is even worse at drawing BB than the stats show because he has gotten HBP 12 times.  Last I checked he has less than 12 walks. 

Even though he swings at everything his BA is barely better than Burrell's.  Rowand's SLG is even 65 points less than Burrell eventhough Burrell has no feet.

Defense does not make up for this.  He also throws like a girl.

Rowand is all about defense and leadership. He's not a terrible hitter.

I'm not defending Rowand so it doesn't matter to me how many pitches he takes.  He could pop out on the first pitch of every at bat for all I care. 

You're constant defending of Burrell is absolutely disgusting.  I kind of still liked the guy a month or 2 ago but I think you have actually inspired more Burrell hate from me than Burrell himself. 

The bottom line is dude has never lived up to the potential he showed when he got his big contract.  He hasn't even come close.  He's not just overpaid, he's flat out stealing money.  I would love to be able to show up to work everyday and not produce just like him and still get paid for it. 

Chase Utley has hit 4 more HR than Burrell and driven in 7 more runs.
Jimmy Rollins is only 2 HR less than Burrell and only 13 shy in the RBI dept despite being the farging leadoff hitter. 

That's the farging problem right there.  I really don't even care about the strikeouts.  Ryan Howard has struck out 48 more times than Burrell so far this year.  But when Howard isn't striking out he's actually getting on base.  He's knocking in runs.  He's hitting them out of the park like a power hitter is supposed to do. 

When Burrell isn't striking out he's hitting into inning ending double plays.  He's not advancing runners.  He's not getting the sac fly to score the guy on 3rd.  It's farging rediculous that you defend this guy the way you do.  He's the Mark Farging Brunnell of the Phillies and you're like Bubba swinging from his jock strap.

Look, I am not saying that Pat is worth the money.  I am not saying that.

But...

1.  If someone offered you a fat contract for whatever you did would you take it?
2.  If someone pegged expectations on you that you could not live up to at your job because you are just not good enough, would you blame yourself?
3.  Would you give that money back if you didnt meet said expectations?
4.  If they were going to transfer you to an office in another city, but you had an option to stay here where all your friends and family were would you stay?

All this and Burrell still has held his tongue and not lashed out at the fans.  The guy is a good dude too, which most people dont know, or dont want to believe.
