I can't wait for him to Duckworth all over you guys.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

This was kind of enjoyable to watch. Hmmmm.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I hate phillies fans.  Actually I hate people in general.

A stupid whore near me was eating popcorn when Rollins homerun landed a row or two away from me.  The stupid bitch throws the entire thing of popcorn in the air.

Boo people, hooray mass extinction.

I probably wouldnt have if I didnt know that Pedro and Hamels werer pitching.  It was a good game.

Sgt PSN

What the hell happened to Pedro tonight?  Did the Phils take the field wearing Yankees uniforms?

PhillyPhreak54

Were you mad that Pat didn't play, bro? :D

Hamels has indeed been terrific. Too bad Gavin Floyd can't be like that too.

mpmcgraw

He is 0/17 against Pedro, so no.  :poison

Hmmmm...

According to the Phils MB Flash is having an MRI because of shoulder inflammation. Jeff Cooper has been quietly working on this with Tom.

And they knew this and let him pitch? Christ.

Arthur Rhodes is the closer in the meantime.

Yay.

mpmcgraw

Retards.

QuotePhillies Notes

There is a reason for closer Tom Gordon's recent struggles: right shoulder inflammation.

Gordon, who has a 6.75 ERA since the all-star break and a 6.27 ERA since June 19, will undergo an MRI exam today.

"Sometimes you get pigheaded," he said. "It's actually been there for a couple months. I don't think that it's anything to be worried about, but it's good to have a good frame of mind about it."

Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said he thinks a few days of rest might be all Gordon needs. Gordon said he would wait for the MRI exam results to know for sure.

While Gordon is unavailable, Manuel indicated that lefthander Arthur Rhodes would fulfill the closer duties.

J-Rollin'

Jimmy Rollins has hit .400 (24 for 60) with six homers and 16 RBIs this month. He is hitting .300 (82 for 273) since May. His .342 on-base percentage is just six points lower than his career high set in 2004.

QuoteHoward: Letter writer threatened to put him in a wheelchair

By MARCUS HAYES

Talk about focus.

In the last 3 ½ weeks, Ryan Howard, a National League All-Star who won the Home Run Derby, has hit .360 with 10 homers and 28 RBI. In his first full season with the Phillies, he leads the league with 41 homers and 106 RBI, and he is making an MVP run.

Howard has been this good with a morbid threat hanging over him.

Howard yesterday confirmed that, about 4 weeks ago, he was made aware of a letter to him whose sender threatened to shoot him and cripple him.

"He said he wouldn't kill me; he'd put me in a wheelchair," Howard said.

The letter, according to Howard, was postmarked Scranton, where Howard starred as recently as last season for the Phillies' Triple A team. Howard said the sender was a Mets fan who opined that Mets third baseman and Derby finalist David Wright deserved to win instead of Howard.

"It didn't bother me," Howard said. "If he's writing letters like that, that dude's got bigger problems than me."

Sources indicated that the Phillies forwarded the letter to Philadelphia police, who, with other law-enforcement agencies, are investigating the matter, as is the security force from Major League Baseball. The law-enforcement agencies were expected to act on the suspect as soon as last night.

Howard, 26, said he never had received anything this threatening. He is the reigning NL Rookie of the Year after playing 88 games last season.

Howard said the letter had no racial overtones.

He also said he was not aware of any heightened security measures in response to the letter; he isn't being walked to his car, for instance.

Phillies security personnel declined to say whether extra security had been assigned to Howard.

His teammates and coaches know about the letter, as do many of the top executives in the organization.

The Phillies declined to comment about the matter.

What the farg? >:(

Where does EagleFeva live again?

Just outside of Scranton.  Why do you ask?
