My boss thinks the reason why the bums are losing is the blue bill on their hats. Or is it that they just plain suck.

I like the blue bill hats. What I don't like is that they put the star in the middle of the P. That is gay.

Anyone remember the all blue hats they wore in 1994? I liked those.

It's time to start trading players away.

Burrell is number one who I want gone.

Sgt PSN

They could trade pretty much everyone except for Rollins, Howard, Utley and Rowand for all I care.  They might as well trade Gordon too.  Even though he's been money this year is does them no good to have a solid closer when they aren't leading in the 9th.

PhillyPhreak54

And he'll be older next year and we don't know if he'll be money.

They have enough $$$$ with Lieberthal, Wolf and Bell coming off the books to sign someone else.

I'd look to deal Gordon, Burrell, Abreu, Rhodes, Lidle and Lieber ASAP. LIeber would have to prove that he' recovered from the groin injury first though. he could have value on the open market for a team like the Red Sox or Tigers looking to strengthen the rotation for a playoff run.

I wouldn't deal Hamels though.

1B - Howard
2B - Utley
3B - TBD
SS - Rollins
LF - Victorino
CF - Rowand
RF - TBD
C - TBD

SP - Hamels
SP - Myers
SP - TBD
SP - TBD
SP - TBD

I would put Mathieson in the closers role and see if he can handle it ala Papelbon. Madson might be one of the SP's next year. He needs to be put in there now and let him pitch. Who cares if he's smoked. Bonderman was killed in DET his rookie year and he is now a very good pitcher.

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

We don't know that yet. He could be. But there is only one way to find out - put him in there and find out.

If they trade Patricia this year then Victorino gets the rest of the season to prove himself.

But if they solidify the C, 3B and other spots next year they could get away with Shane being the LF. His defense is good and he can run the bases. So he'd be the #8 hitter.

the most popular player on the team is always the backup.

Wow. What a bunch of losers. I've been watching hilights of the games on phillies.com. I am dumbfounded that they pitched to Ortiz in a 7-7 game with 1st base open. Manuel is a moron.

Still, I'm convinced that Gillick simply doesn't care anymore about this group. This really isnt Manuel's fault. He cant be held responsible for crappy starting pitching, an awful bullpen, and everyone (EVERYONE) sucking donkey balls with runners in scoring position. But, he does continue to make idiotic moves like pitching to Ortiz in that spot. Thus, I couldnt care less of his slack jawled ass is canned.

I'm glad I'm missing this. I'll be home this weekend, so I'll probably be able to catch the game sunday. Should be fun.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

yup...that being said id have no problem with giving victorino the rest of the year out there...but come on...hes a three time rule 5 player...i dont see him amounting to anything but a good bench guy

he didn't have Howard bunting...Howard tried it once on his own because the entire left side of the infield was open

i dont believe that...but even if true that might be worse that howard could think he would be allowed to go up and do that...

i think he was 0-5 at the time and was trying to surprise the Sox.  i know that you don't want your power hitter bunting, ever, but i can understand what he was thinking.
