My favorite charity is breast cancer. For those of you who are unfamiliar, breast cancer awareness month is in October. Some companies chose to wear pink to raise awareness.

Getting riled up about any of this is just farging stupid. Who cares? Watch the videos, or don't. Doesn't matter. I am curious about how this will affect other charities, though. I usually do an MS bike thing in September, which is a big month for MS fundraising, and I have to imagine that the heavy ALS donations will put a big dent in the MS fundraising. And by curious, I mean I wonder...not that I'm losing a lot of sleep over it.

BTW - the ALS money is needed to fund research for a cure. The Phillies have their ALS thing each year and that is great. In addition to the cure research the victims of ALS and their families need help. Gleason's charity does a great job

theres actually lots of resources in africa...more than in america actually....there just isnt any money or infrastructure and admittedly tons of corruption

they get plenty of money already to find a cure that likely is never found (they dont even know what causes it and its a 100 years old much less what cures it) and only effects a tiny number of people...just because a baseball team has a night for it and espn did a steve gleason special doesnt make it any more serious
