Like most things, I find myself residing somewhere in the middle here.  Someone hops the counter, you do what you can to protect yourself with the least amount of force necessary.  If a pipe is the only thing around for you to protect yourself with, so be it.  At the same time though, once that person(s) is no longer a threat, you don't keep beating the piss out of them. 

So yeah, good on him for knocking them out.  Bad on him for nearly killing one of them.

Any guy under 50 who calls himself Papa creeps me out regardless of head movements. 

But I don't order from chain joints.  A local mom and pop place started up their own website about 2 years ago specifically to take online orders.  Said they do more business now because call ins don't get busy signals or wait on hold for so long that they eventually hang up.  And they don't have to listen to the phone ringing non stop, which to me would be heaven.
