It'll be better off than if it had gone to Facebook, I think.

So what are your thoughts on those kids who go from absolutely fine and in a span of 24 hours from time of vaccine, change completely. Too many to be coincidental. I know (now) 6 parents of kids like this.

I can't say, I study oncology, I'm not a toxicologist.  All I can say is the data that's published doesn't support that thimerosal or any other component of the vaccine is causing an increase in these events over the baseline incidences.

Obviously, I don't know any of your acquaintances, I'm not arguing it's impossible.  I am arguing that the way these studies are done, you need pretty big differences from control to make a valid conclusion.  That hasn't happened yet.  And when the yahoos on Fox say indisputable evidence, they're full of shtein.  There isn't indisputable evidence for what causes autism naturally.  Look at the response from the CDC for a more measured conclusion, which is supported by the data in the public space (I'm sure there's more that isn't published).

On the other hand, there are real health risks associated with not getting vaccinations.  These are proven, not disputed.  The scare caused by an admitted liar continues to this day, that is more of a national health problem than the vaccines themselves, IMO.

That "scare" was evident before Wakefield, though.

It doesn't really piss me off more, but neither does it make me feel any better about it.  The idea that a defendant can buy his way out of a jam rather than face justice angers me, no matter who it is.

Regarding the latter point, I did not know that, and taking your word as the truth, I'd have to say I'm okay with that.  Without protection, no one would take the risk, and we'd still have polio.

On the other hand, someone can bury a defendant in legal fees until they can't afford to fight back. Either way, money doesn't really help the justice system.
