I've always used generic brands of medicine.  Same ingredients and you usually get more volume at a lower price.

Though Scientologists are fundamentally whackjobs, I agree that there's never a reason to go to a doctor or use medicine. Unless the medicine is booze or prescribed weed

For simple cold and flu type stuff, I don't take meds unless I feel it becomes absolutely necessary....like if it's been 3 weeks and I still can't shake it.  The only time I pop meds is if it's prescribed by a doc....like antibiotics for an infection or something.  I don't take asprin or Tylenol or Advil.  I prefer to let my immune system do it's job rather than coddle it with over the counter drugs that will only make my immune system weaker in the long run.  But my squaw is a sissy and my kids are kids so I keep the stuff around for them.
