philly, chicago and kc are my top 3 favorite cities to eat in.

For me New Orleans is easily .  The town is full of great new restaurants every time I go back.

i'm can't do cajun.  it's good but my innerds don't allow me to do really spicy food.  it farging smells delicious to me but i know if i eat it i'll spend the better part of 3 days crapping all over the place.  my stomach is a farging hoyda.

they do have some great non-cajun oriented resturants down there too but not enough to satisfy my tastes.

rick's cabaret.  where else can you go for lunch and get a steak and lapdance at the same time?  what a great country we live in.

And Wawa.  I forgot how much I loved stopping in Wawa.

Back to MO tomorrow morning - it was great being back east again...
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

i never had bbq sauce at all until i was like 25...just wasnt something my family knew about or cooked with...since then ive tried all different kinds...and dont like any of them...i was in the outer banks last month and tried carolina for the first time...that was edible cause it was vinegereee which i liked

no bbq until you were 25?  automatic loss of street cred.

carolina bbq is decent, but out in the mid-west they make some nice, thick, tangy bbq sauces that will blow you away.  other than a cheesesteak, which will always be my favorite health hazard to chew on, it's hard to top some bbq.  ribs, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, burnt ends.  farging amazing.

oddly enough, good bbq isn't really about the sauce itself.  it's about the rub and the cooking process too.  get a good rub on your meat about 2 hours before you cook it.  then let it sit in a smoker for 6-8 hours.  add the sauce during the final 15 to 30 minutes of cooking.

Southern BBQ (particularly NC) is all vinegar based, not ketchup based, so it never has the thickness.  I've personally gotten more into the dry rub BBQs more popular in the midwest lately.

we have a dry rub place up the street from me that is banging.  People drive from PA to eat there.  I love the Carolina style vinegar based BBQ sauces, and love ribs with the regular thick sauce.  I'm hungry now

And i drank a ton of Yuenglings yesterday from cans.  They were free, and i didnt want Bud Light Lime, Bud Light, Bud, or Michelob Ultras.  Luckily had had a 4 miller lites before i had to drink Yuenglings, and a double Bloody Mary.  Good times

The Bud Light girls driving around disappointed me though, they were wearing jackets and didnt let their Tshirts get wet in the rain.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
