I'm amused that you consistently deride chain restaurants, yet somehow Chick-fil-a dodges that bullet.  Is that because white people eat at the other places?
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Chick-Fil-A is owned by a notorious bible thumper and racist = funny that IGY would be talking them up.

But yes, their sandwiches are delicious and I eat them whenever I'm back in DC.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Truett Cathy owns half of Volusia County where I live.  He's a bible-thumping shteinbag racist, hence my aversion to his chain of chicken-slinging outfits.

And I'm glad someone got the racist angle above and was only kidding with my boy FF.  I love you, man.

Get this straight, buddy:
If you're overtly Christian and white, you're a racist.
If you're overtly Christian and black, it is impossible for you to be a racist.

ice grillin you

actually overt white christians are more intolernt than racist...altho they could be both

now that the douchebag commercial break is over...back to the original question

why is this guy racist or a zealout...all i can find on him is how much money he has given to children and that hes won horatio alger awards

He's old, white, religious, and from the south.  Isn't that enough to stop eating his sandwiches?

Actually, we stopped eating at Chick-Fil-A, because we found out they use MSG.

You're just a little off on this Dio - the Busch family isn't choosing to sell out, they are (potentially) being acquired by another company, and they don't have the means to stop it.  The family only owns <4% of the company stock, so they alone can't stop the sale.  The board doesn't own a majority, so even if it says "We're not selling" InBev can still buy a majority of the company by turning to the public and saying "Give me your shares."

Now, you have a point about the irony of this deal.  AB is an iconic American brand, and wants to stay loyal to the patriotism and ideals of being an American company.  They are proud that it bears the family name, and don't want to sell out, effectively killing the family run business.  They are going on about remaining true to St. Louis, and how this is where it belongs.  Yet, the only way they can possibly not be sold is to buy the remaining 50% of Modello in Mexico that they don't own today, thereby making them too expensive for InBev.  But to do so, they need to buy a Mexican company, thereby removing the national heritage that Modello has.  Modello is also a multi-generational brand that still has deep family ties into the Modello family. And they also are very proud of where they came.  So, to save AB from all these non-American, non-Busch family things happening, they have to turn around and do the exact same thing to the Mexican company.  The irony runs very deep.

I'm not sure what it means, but on Friday the Modello CEO abruptly quit the AB Board of Directors (he had a place on AB's board, and August IV has a seat on Modello's board).  It could mean either a) he is quitting because he's pissed that the rest of his company might be purchased by AB, or b) he is quitting to help the sale go through without a conflict of interest.

the update.  AB and InBev will reach agreement in a friendly takeover this weekend.  InBev sweetened the deal to $70 a share, and AB will accept.

QuoteInBev NV boosted its takeover offer for Anheuser-Busch Cos. by $5 a share to $70 in an effort to seal a friendly deal with the iconic U.S. brewer, a person familiar with the matter said.

After weeks of escalating tensions since InBev launched its $46 billion takeover offer for Anheuser a month ago, the two sides are negotiating a friendly deal, according to people familiar with the matter. Anheuser's board is likely to accept the new offer, which amounts to about $50 billion, this weekend, one of the people said, adding that so-called social issues including what the combined company would be called still need to be worked out.

News of the new offer comes just days after InBev signalled its willingness to make a hostile takeover offer if necessary. On Monday, the Belgian brewer put forward a slate of directors to replace Anheuser's board. It said that "to date, Anheuser-Busch has been unwilling to engage with in a dialogue." Anheuser subsequently filed suit against InBev, accusing it of making false and misleading statements.

A lukewarm response from Anheuser shareholders to the company's defense strategy may have contributed to its willingness to open negotiations. When Anheuser rejected InBev's offer, it announced a stepped-up cost-cutting program aimed at boosted its share price.

Besides the cost and time a protracted takeover fight would entail, a friendly deal could help InBev keep key Anheuser management in place and avoid alienating the U.S. company's distributors, a person close to the deal said.
