I just saw a stat on TV that says 1 out of every 6 women in the US is a victim of domestic violence.  This is frightening, and disturbing.  Frankly, I'm shocked as hell.

From my personal obsevations, I'd say 2 out of every 3 women is a loud mouthed opinionated bitch who doesn't understand her place.  Which really means that 1 out of every 2 women are goddamned lucky.

I had a bottle of smoked beer last night, and it tasted like I was drinking meat.  Which, most would think, would not be a bad thing.  However, I found it a little disturbing to my senses.  I was also told I was wrong, and I just don't know any better.

So, good people...

Smoked Beer.

:yay  or  :boo

Demon's breaking the "don't drink and post" rule.

Smoked beer sounds like a good idea, but I've never had it.  I give it a provisional thumbs up, pending further review.

Doesn't all beer get a  :yay by default until proven otherwise?

Doesn't all beer that doesn't come in a green bottle get a  :yay by default until proven otherwise?

Even green-bottled beers deserve a taste before getting the  :boo .

Plus, this one is very, very good:

A beer with a fruit involved might not get the auto-benefit-of-the-doubt.  Strawberry, for example.  Now, maybe there's a good strawberry beer.  I don't know.  Never had a good one.

Also, non-alcoholic beer gets the thumbs down in every case.  But you could well argue that ain't beer, so the point is moot.

As a female, I should be offended by this.... but

PS- Don't fruit the beer.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

I agree 100%.  But, I had it, and didn't like it so that's why I think it's a  :boo.

I've also had candy cane beer ( :boo), chocolate covered cherry beer (surprisingly,  :yay), and all kinds of other crap.  I don't go for the fruity flavored beers now as a rule (even after I was told the watermelon beer was out of this world -- it wasn't), and cautiously drink each one I'm presented.

A good buddy of mine is a beer brewer, and I try all his stuff. He has some crazy ass flavors (see above), but also comes out with some fantastic beers -- Vanilla Creme, Double IPA, porters, stouts -- all with a nice unique flavor.

Now, I believe I'll go have another 2 below from New Belgium (who I think is my favorite brewery atthe moment).

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the State of the Union. I thought the propaganda was kept to a minimum, maybe Bush realizes he has to start kissing some Democratic ass to get anything done.

Dude, we're talking about beer now.  Bush can wait.
