What summer was it (I believe 1988) that had the entire month of July except for one day be 100+ degrees?

I was working at a camp that year (maintenance staff), working on installing a dock and building a baseball field.  Got burned worse than I have ever been in my life working of that &*@$@#&*^$&*@#^ dock.
