White said the woman said she was "incensed" at the behavior of other customers scrambling for the pennies-per-gallon premium, considered the opportunism theft, and felt bad for the station owner.

Once the mistake was discovered, a Lukoil employee put up signs temporarily halting sales of the premium until the price was adjusted. The Intelligencer of Doylestown said the station owner did not respond to an interview request.
