Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

My daughter graduated from college today.  It was amazing.  Proud of her of course

But the energy in that arena was what I'll always remember.  It was 100% positive.  No anger.  No resentment.  No farging pissed off political bullshtein.  Just a totally supportive environment where hard work was celebrated.

They have special needs kids who participated at the end.  They all went to classes and earned their degrees the same as everyone else.  They received their diplomas and roughly 5,000 people gave them a standing ovation.  Brought tears to my eyes as one of them was mentored by my daughter.

We need more of that, fellas.  A LOT MORE.

Anyway... cheers to everyone and congrats to my daughter   Thank God she got her mom's brains  🍺

Congrats Rome. You're a great Dad. Proud day I'm sure. 🍻

Great news, congrats to the entire family.  No one does it alone.

And now for something completely different. A 27 year old Mumbai man has plans to sue his parents for giving him birth without his consent. As an anti-natalist, his position is that life is misery and suffering, and parents can not just assume the right bring someone into this kind of world. Also of note, both his parents are lawyers.

I saw the link to this story from another article where parents in India are suing their son for not fulfilling his family obligation and giving the parents a grandchild. Man, wouldn't it be ridiculous  living in such a self indulgent, litigious society?

Diomedes

I've always thought along those lines.  No one asks to be born.  Telling them to be grateful to their parents for having life involuntarily put on them...that makes no sense at all to me.

Children owe their parents nothing.  Parents owe their children everything.

text from Baltimore City Public Schools today:

"Due to the impending storm set to come this afternoon, ...."

How long before that becomes

"Due to the impending storm we are about to have that's set to come this afternoon,...."

I can't find a way to add another redundancy to the phrase, but these people will find a way in enough time.

Because of the circumstances that will be caused by the impending storm that's set to come this afternoon.

Don't underestimate rednecks and their gun juggling.
