I noticed this at another board (not the EMB) and got a couple of chuckles out of it.

In an effort to maintain a more relaxed environment than most of us were used to, the Administrators and Moderators at XXXXX have acted with a light touch and allowed a wide berth for certain behaviors that are clearly in violation of our own TOS. In the past 10 months, we've had good times and bad, and aside from a few exceptions, moderation and administration of this site has been an easy burden. We've only had two real bannings, and most of the moderation activity has been received civilly and easily resolved.

This has not been the case lately.

As the TOS states, Moderators and Administrators are volunteers, and are not to ridiculed, teased, or questioned in public.  We attempt to be as fair as possible. Unfailingly, the majority of those who are contacted by a moderator either in public or private feel as though they are being treated unfairly and point to this other poster or that one in defense of their own inappropriate behavior.

So be it.

You are responsible for you, and no one else.

From this point forward, I am enacting and enforcing a zero-tolerance policy toward the public questioning or ridicule of moderators. 

If you have a question or feel mistreated, PM a moderator. If you feel that someone isn't being moderated and should, PM a moderator. If you disagree with the actions or behavior of a moderator, PM a moderator.

I don't expect this will be a problem, and I appreciate your support in maintaining a civil and enjoyable environment for everyone.
