I found out I'm going to make a lot more money over the next few years than I originally thought due to the fact I got hired to a job being posted for someone with much more experience... and I'm kicking ass at it.

Obviously, this makes me happy, because it's well-documented how much I love money.  I also, by the way, love power and being awesome, and this is fulfilling in all of the above ways.

I may even vote for Clinton/Obama, not that the Democratic ticket has a chance in hell in NC.


The downside is the web filter here is very restrictive and likely will shut off access to concretefield.com in the not-so-distant future.  You guys will miss me, though.  Obviously.

I'm in the same boat FF.  I turned down 3 different offers for Lions-Eagles tickets so i could be sober for an interview.  I kicked ass in all 5 rounds of the interview and now have wad's a cash to blow on stock and blow

You're right.  I'm an icehole.  However, I'm not a complete buffoon that spends most of my life playing video games.  So, thankfully for that, I'll always have morons like you to kick around.

Someone once told me that you weren't as stupid in "real life" as you come across on this board.  I think they were just being nice.

You are awarded points for going to the board.  You also get points for civilian education, military education/schools, PT, rifle marksmanship...

After you go to a promotion board they calculate how many points you have.  You need a minimal of 350 points to be eligible for promotion.  I currently have 495 out of a maximum 798.  If the point cut off is below my score I will be eligible for promotion the first day of the second month after my board.  Thus if points are low I will get promoted. 

Typically for guys that are in my MOS the cutoff is anywhere from 420 to 440, it is low in comparison with other jobs because it is combat arms.
