Smoking Gun has letters sent to the FCC about the Prince halftime show and the Snickers commercial where 2 guys kissed.

QuoteIt was obscene to show Prince, a HOMOSEXUAL person through a sheet, as to show his siluette while his guitar showed a very phalic symbol coming from his below-midriff section.  I am very offended and I would preffer not to have showed it to my 4 children who love football.  One of them has hoped to be a quarterback and now he will turn out gay.  I am actually considering to check him for HIV.  Thanks CBS for turning my son GAY.

:-D

If that wasn't good enough, she wrote a second complaint:

QuoteI find it highly unacceptable to have a family watching a sporting event only to find Prince stroking, manipulating and fondleing his guitar behind the curtain.  This image only made him look extremely large which made the rest of us feel small, and unable to preform this evening.

...and followed it up with two complaints about the Snickers commercial.

Bush's job performance is the biggest stain on his legacy.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Man Fired for Ejaculation!

MINNEAPOLIS - An off-duty Northwest Airlines employee was arrested after a woman on a flight from Seattle complained that the man had ejaculated on her.

What the hell is she complaining for?  Dook's spunk probably tasted better than the in-flight meal anyway.  Ungrateful hag.

He was a scapegoat for nothing. The whole trial was a facade and essentially criminalized politics.

(1) Valerie Plame was never a covert operative. Ever. The statutes protecting the identities of covert operatives did not apply to Plame. At all.

(2) Libby was convicted for having poor recollection about who he talked to or was informed by regarding the identity of someone who works at the CIA who has no special protection regarding her identity. Its analogous to me knowing who cleans the shteinters at Langley and then disclosing it to someone for shteins and giggles. He was not convicted at all for "outing" a CIA operative; couldn't be farther from the truth. In fact, in Fitzgerald's closing arguments, he referred to Plame as "an important person" -- what a crock.

(3) While Libby did, under the letter of the law, "lied" to a grand jury, the degree of harm caused is insignificant considering no sensitive information was disclosed. The underlying basis for the charges of what he lied about are not even at issue. The case can be boiled down to this: Libby had a conversation with someone about some other third party. Libby, in front of a grand jury and under oath, was asked about that conversation and his statements were inconsistent. No leaks. No "covert CIA agent". No nothing.

The problem is that blind Bush haters are going to see this story and think that Libby "took the fall" for "outing" a CIA operative. That is blatantly, inherently false. The Media trumped up these charges because they thought it would be a good storyline and sell a lot of papers and/or advertising space. Might seem skeptical but I see no other basis. This trial was played in the media, trumped up in the media, and now the media is going to over-blow it.

I don't care if you despise the Bush Administration. This has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do with fabricating a whole elaborate story to try and make the Bush Administration seem so vindictive and hateful towards its critics (which, by the way, Wilson did nothing to discredit Bush in regards to the uranium -- in fact, the senate panel found that his findings helped corroborate CIA intelligence and British intelligence). In a sense, this is the Bush Administration's fault for even giving this case to go to the DOJ and appointing a special prosecutor. It should have be disposed of as mere political pandering and posturing and been done with years ago.

If a pardon is ever appropriate, it is in this instance. This decision is infuriating because the prosecutor was really grasping at straws to find anything that would stick and he found something -- no matter how insignificant. If you think Martha Stewart got a raw deal, I don't see how you can, from looking at the merits of this case, feel the same about Libby.
