Sorry man. Hopefully he's doing ok. I know it's a day to day struggle.

I'm not sure what my sis is on now but it took awhile to get them dialed in as far as which ones and the dosages.

And I'll tell ya this - I never really paid much mind to mental health until she started going through her issues. Even in the beginning I didn't grasp the severity of the situations.

But I've become educated on it and a huge proponent of mental health awareness. It needs to be destigmatized. It's no different than someone having a bad heart or whatever. Chemical imbalances in the brain are a real condition.

I hate that so many people suffer and suffer quietly because of how our country views mental health.

My brother is the same j...chronic depression is a motherfarger

his biggest battle has been the medicine...he hates taking it cause of the side effects and the way it makes him feel but if he stops taking it within two weeks he's in his bed with the lights out wanting to die 24 hrs a day

There's an alternative to depression meds called transcranial magnetic stimulation. If he's tried multiple medication and they haven't been effective his insurance should cover it minus the co pay.  Treatment is 4-5 days a week for 8-10 weeks so it's a commitment. They hook a coil up to a part of your brain and send pulses through it every 20 seconds. There's zero known side effects. The VA did a study through UPenn in 2016 and I took part. Only issue is you either got the real treatment or the fake (placebo) in their study. After the first month I felt better so I was pretty sure I was getting the legit treatment. A month after the study I received confirmation I got the legit treatment. I'm not saying it's 100% effective but I feel a hell of a lot better and stopped taking anti-depression meds altogether.

Yeah that is the biggest complaint that folks who take those meds have - that it fogs them up. They get frustrated by that and then go off of them and of course that isn't good either. A vicious cycle to have to deal with.

This came up as a random memory for me and made me laugh sadly...so, safe to assume this won't be an actual Eagles score this year?

they actually won

one kid acting like that shouldnt DQ the entire team. hes not playing sports anymore for that school, he will face whatever legal challenges and is gonna be a tough scholarship offer if he was even on any radars. he is paying the price, his team is moving on. fair.

The team was DQ'd from playoff competition.

I voted for him.  Before the primary, he didn't sport the bush.  Once he was a lock, he let it grow.

I'm cautiously hopeful for him.  He's smart.  Not sure if that will help him here.

He's young--37, I think?--and baby faced.  Also, we are in fact getting old as farg.

I'm gonna be posting here when I'm 65 years old, aren't I?

Who the mod heir-apparent, anyway?  Better put that in your last will and testament, GF.   I don't want the  job.  I'd ban  everyone then cry about being lonely.
