i'm so sick of my truck and it's 17mpg.  i still owe about $5k on it and it's a 2006 with 130k miles.  i just want it to survive until i'm done paying and then i'm getting a farging ford focus or something that doesn't guzzle gas.

My 2004 Kia Optima recently hit 100,000 miles.  Looks like shtein, but still runs perfectly.

I got a new Terrain a few months back, mainly for the gas mileage, as well. They market it as 32mpg on the highway - which is the only driving I do. While it doesn't get nearly 32, it gets me far better mileage than the little car I traded in for it..

I find myself driving a bit slower too because of it. Not Dio slow, but I don't look down and see I'm unknowingly driving 85 anymore as much as I had in the past.

Those things are really nice.  I strongly considered getting one last year but didn't want to commit that much money to a vehicle at the time. I take it you went with the 4 cyl since it said 32 mpg. What are you actually getting with it....25-27 mpg?

Got the 4 cyl, SLT version - has all the options aside from the V6 engine, which again, makes the most sense for the driving I do now.

Average, I'd say I get 23-25ish, which again is not what is advertised, but also never what I thought I'd get out of an SUV that size.

Kickstarter Expects To Provide More Funding To The Arts Than NEA
